First Baptist Church of Richmond Texas is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Pastor. Applicants must be faithful in preaching God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ in accordance with The Baptist Faith and Message of 1963. FBCR work in association with and supports the San Felipe Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Southern Baptist Convention. We are seeking the man God is calling to shepherd this wonderful church that is located in the county seat of Fort Bend County, one of the most diverse and fasting growing counties is the country.
About:
The Senior Pastor is responsible for leading the church to function as a New Testament church. The Senior Pastor will lead the congregation, the organizations, and the church staff to perform their tasks as such by providing spiritual and practical leadership, guidance, and encouragement. The Senior Pastor shall exemplify the biblical standards and qualifications found in 1 Timothy 3:2-7.
The Senior Pastor is the leader of pastoral ministries in the church and works with the church staff, Deacons, and church-established committees to:
The Senior Pastor is responsible for supervising all church staff and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the church as its chief administrative officer. This includes recommendations to church committees and/or the church on matters pertaining to these operations and functions.
Other duties and responsibilities of the Senior Pastor are specified in the First Baptist Church of Richmond Bylaws as well as the First Baptist Church of Richmond Personnel Policy.
