This role is for a Registered Nurse in a Level 1 trauma center operating room with a wide variety of surgical specialties, including transplant surgery. The RN will provide skilled nursing care, scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. The position is a 12-hour shift (day, evening, or night) contract lasting 17 weeks.

Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care in a fast-paced operating room environment.
- Scrubbing and circulating during surgical procedures across various specialties (orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma).
- Assisting with procedures involving the use of da Vinci robots.
- Participating in transplant procedures (liver, kidney, heart).
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary surgical team.
- Patient assessment and monitoring.
- Medication administration.
- Maintaining a safe and sterile surgical environment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- Minimum two years of operating room experience; Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
- Ability to scrub and circulate.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- ACLS certification.
- Experience with specialty cases (transplants, plastics, reconstructive surgery, craniotomy).
- Strong orthopedic surgery background.
