Position: Junior Project Manager

Location: Huntsville, AL or Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000

Job Description:

We are seeking full-time, independent, self-starting candidate, who can navigate quickly and efficiently through fast paced environments.

Primary Duties/Responsivities:

The successful candidate will support varying customers by:

Serving as the central point of communication between technical resources and customers
Developing project related artifacts
Mitigating project impediments
Coordinating and orchestrating project meetings
Tracking project performance to ensure delivery within scope and budget
Managing project timelines, resource allocations and project plans
Ensuring project risks are identified and documented and risk response strategies are effectively communicated
Collaboratively working with team members from varying technical areas within their organization and across organizations within the Agency
Documenting project/ program level best practices and lessons learned for continuous improvement

Ideal Qualifications:

The ideal candidate’s qualifications include:

1-2 years of related DOD/MDA based experience (internship, co-op and professional experience included)
Experience working in a scrum agile framework or have obtained their Certified Scrum Master (SCM) Certification or related certification
Strong understanding of project management best practices
Obtained their Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification or higher
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Experience in Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, Project and Power Platform

Requirements:

Candidate minimum qualifications include:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance
High level of interpersonal skills
Must be able to successfully collaborate with team members
Must be able to actively work projects and collaborate with team members in a remote setting
Must be willing to work on customer site (Redstone Arsenal/Colorado Springs) as needed
Must be comfortable briefing at the executive level
