The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Role Purpose

Provides executive administrative support to Digital & IT Executive Leaders .

Key Responsibilities

• Handles details of items that are highly confidential and critical in nature on a daily basis.
• Point of contact for outside companies at the executive leadership level.
• Makes contact with internal and external executive leadership on matters that are of a sensitive nature to the company.
• Work/Life Balance Flexibility: Management of corporate officer during business hours and after hours when required (business and personal)
• Interface directly with SLT, Corporate Officers, Board of Directors (occasionally), and their executive assistants.
• Maintain calendar, phone and travel details.
• Interface directly with SLT and Corporate Officers and their executive assistants.
• Manage all aspects of calendar, phone and travel for business and personal needs.
• Manage all aspects of calendar, phone and travel.
• Event Planning: Offsite executive meetings/events, recognition, team building.
• Manage and process expense reports using Concur.
• Proactively directs, collects, and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings for executives, internal and external individuals, customer meetings, as well as materials for high level corporate meetings (internal and external).
• Manage complex travel arrangements (both domestic and international) and proactively stays ahead of changes; including management of all travel documents and management of corporate aircraft requests (business and personal) as required.
• Manage and maintain supplies for office.
• Initiate and manage purchase order processes and procedures.
• Provide administrative back up to Sr. Level Management.

Experiences/Education - Required

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all levels of the corporation. Strong organizational and administrative skills, attention to detail, focus on error-free work, and follow-up to ensure tasks are complete.
• Highly motivated, self-starter, detail-oriented and anticipates corporate officer’s needs. Strong crisis management, decision making/problem solving skills and balanced judgment while maintaining professional composure and demeanor at all times.
• Well networked within Corning, leads by example, looks for new ideas and bases decisions on the business needs. Exercises a high level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flexible, works efficiently and effectively in a dynamic high-pressure and fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Stays current on trends and is willing to adapt to new technology and processes. Strong computer/technology skills. Knowledge of company operations, policies and procedures and a good understanding of Corning’s businesses.
• Presence, maturity, appearance, and strategic mindset are critical to success in this position. Must be accessible, dependable and reliable.
• 5+ years of experience in Administrative Assistant roles.

Experiences/Education - Desired

• Education: Associates Degree in a related field.

The range for this position is $65,978.00 - $90,721.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
