Primary Responsibilities:

The APC Dermatology:

• Performs specific duties delineated by primary supervising physician
• Performs full skin exams on dermatology patients
• Evaluates and treats dermatologic conditions for all age groups, including children
• Performs patient education for dermatologic conditions independent of supervising physician
• Performs minor procedures, like biopsies, without in-room supervision

Required Qualifications:

• Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
• Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
• Driver’s License and access to a reliable transportation

Preferred Qualification:

• Physician Assistant with a minimum of 1+ years Dermatology experience
• Proven ability to facilitate and incorporate the full breadth of PA training into the practice
• Proven ability to perform high level medical judgement and decision-making skills
• Proven to be capable of obtaining excellent dermatological skills
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency

The salary range for this role is $110,00 to $166,500 annually based on full-time employment. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
